Running While Sick
My body should know better. Do not test me or I will break it. The past 48 hours I have had a scratchy throat that feels like it has been swelling up. I did all that I could to resist running. It made sense to let my body rest. After all, I had no apetite. In one day, I ate a burrito and a PBJ sandwich. Something had to be done.
Woke up this morning and felt like my throat was closing in. So naturally I went running.
With it being 28 degrees outside, I decided to run inside. I do have some safety sense.
My office has a treadmill with a nice view of the water. I set out for a little 3 mile jog while watching the news on my iPhone. That turned into 6 miles while continuously increasing the speed.
Post run I enjoyed some Fage greek yogurt and while I would like to say my throat was better, it really wasn’t. Fortunately, it wasn’t bad.
Maybe I’ll do 2 runs today?
Do not run again today! I told you to take care of yourself,lol. Rest, drink fluids, have some soup!!
