Fantastic Four Things Friday – Week Recap No. 39
1. Thanksgiving
This is definitely my favorite holiday of the year. A time where we don’t work and can focus on time with the family. There’s family, football, and eating … the American dream.
2. Cooking
Growing up in a restaurant and a big family, I have spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen. It is great to still get to do this with my family now. Everyone loves being in the kitchen and taking part in the cooking. From pumpkin pie to stuffing to the turkey, there is always something someone can lend a hand to. Plus, it’s not just about the cooking. There are always stories and memories to share, while creating new ones at the same time.
3. Missing Tooth
Our 3rd child lost her first tooth this past week! As has happened with others, we don’t know where the tooth is. Most likely it happened while eating lunch at school … where there are plenty of other distractions from noticing losing a tooth. She wrote a note to the tooth fairy so that something would still be left under the pillow. Glad that worked! It is funny how we take for granted what we’ve already taught the other kids that we forget sometimes to teach the next child. We had to remind her to go check under her pillow as we didn’t really explain that part! Fortunately, a $5 bill was waiting for her (reward for first tooth lost).
4. Light Work Week
Well, I wouldn’t say completely light work week, but definitely a quieter one with most out of the office. It allowed me to finalize plans for Cyber Monday and rally the team behind the first effort. Always fun to introduce a new idea and program to a business that has potential to make an impact. The great part of about ecommerce geared towards one day is that you don’t have to wait long to know the results!
