Fantastic Four Things Friday – Week Recap No. 32
Busy week, increased running, and unexpected travel. Here are Four Fantastic things Friday.
1. Volunteering at Kids’ School
I seem to have no problem volunteering at school when it involves making food. This time it was an Oatmeal Breakfast and the funds raised went to the school’s Run Club. How can I pass up on helping kids run more and complete their first 5k race? It was fun as always and great energy all around!
2. Dog on the Trails
I’m working on getting my dog focused into running rather then stopping to smell the “roses” on the run. This week he enjoyed a 4 mile run around Dixon Reservoir. There was a point when he was able to run through the water for about 50 yards that he really enjoyed. My goal for him is a half marathon and he seems to be up for the training!
3. Writing for Road Runner Sports
It is the weeks that I am the busiest that I get the greatest opportunities. My favorite running store in town and online is Road Runner Sports. The staff there is incredible with all being an athlete, coach, personal trainer, or all the above. I will be writing more about them, my experiences shopping there, and what I do with the gear I purchase there. It’s going to continue to fuel my running!
Also working on getting onto Team Refuel that will require your help … more info coming soon!
4. Meeting New People
At work we had a great deal of people travel to our office this week. It is always great to put a face with a voice/email that I work with on a regular basis. Such great people and an incredible team that I am happy to be a part of!
