I have started to gather interest in creating an annual half marathon here in the Frederick/Firestone area. Both mayors are onboard with the idea and then next step would be to pick a date and get sponsors. As I was running today, I was also thinking that it would be great to have a charity to donate money to from the event. Does anyone know of any local charities to get involved?
