Why is the NYSE advertising on television? It seems like a general message to an audience not completely engaged in the stock market. Generally the news about the stock market is focused on the negative as it relates to the loan crisis. A more direct marketing campaign that involves a more personal touch would be more effective.

    I think I’m seeing a trend here. The news tends to focus more on the negative than the positive. Why is that? I think it’s because people tend to be more emotionally involved with negative issues than with positive stories. How about a shift in news marketing?

    The sad part is that there is ‘news marketing’ as opposed to objective news reporting 🙂
