Run Like Nobody is Watching

There is a lot of focus on form when running:

– Foot strike
– Arm placement
– Back straight
– Breathing right
– Low shoulders

The past week I have done 2 big mountain runs and on the way down tried to loosen up. In that process, I rolled an ankle and kept on rolling down the hill. Such are the experiences I run for.

Sometimes, as depicted in this video below, you just have to let go. When heading down a hill, don’t put on the breaks. Run like Phoebe from the tv show Friends does.

In fact, I thought about at one point making shirts with just the text on it:

Sometimes, as in life, you just have to let go and risk being silly. Will people stare? Yes, but only for 3 seconds because you will either be moved ahead of them or they will want to join you.
