Thoughts on the Run

My plan is to go to Costco the day after Thanksgiving and purchase a 50 inch Vizio Plasma tv. I have asked a few people their thoughts on this and Howard mentioned that plasma does not work well at higher altitudes. Living in the Mile High City for over a decade, I have stopped thinking how different everything has to be here. So I did some research. This article talks about high altitude being at 7500 feet and even CNET has a blog posting about it putting high altitude at 6,250. My thinking on this is that it should be fine with Denver coming in at 5,280 feet and the plethora of people that have plasmas in the state. If the plasma tvs did not perform at this altitude, would they be selling them in multiple stores throughout the state?
