Sleep When You Need To Sleep
01:50:00 – 10.1 miles
My last “real” run was Wednesday. I have been beating myself up about that, but realized it’s only 4 days of not running. Each of those nights I have slept 8+ hours. I find that when I sleep more that it makes tired throughout the day. At the same time, there is plenty of research that states the positive impact of sleep.
Now that I have caught up on my sleep, I can’t get to sleep at night. Always something in life.
With all that being said, message of the week is to not get down on yourself. If you have a race coming up, don’t stress out if you need extra sleep and miss a workout. Stressing out and mentally cutting yourself down will be like erasing multiple workouts. I firmly believe that running is 95% mental. You hit walls, you feel uncomfortable, and new obstacles are tossed at you with every step. It’s about how you handle those challenges.
Running is life.
