Fantastic Four Things Friday – Week Recap No. 38
Like watching a NASCAR race, without this past week’s fight, the way life has gone lately.
1. Lunch Thanksgiving Potluck
It’s no secret that I love food. Growing up in a restaurant (and watching a lot of the Food Network) I try to keep updated on the food world. I have opinions about great food. When no words come to mind while eating, that’s generally not a sign of good food. Food is most enjoyed with other people. The combination creates an experience which we as humans need more of in life. I think that is why Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year. It is about people coming together around food and enjoying the fellowship that ensues.
But if you want to see what intentionally crashing a car and the fight that follows at NASCAR looks like, here you go:
2. Video
This week I did my first video blog on a run. While I do not like watching or hearing myself on video, it certainly is faster and easier than writing! Plus, I like to take photos on the run, but wow can video really capture an experience better.
3. New Running Gear
The past week I tested out New Balance Minimus 1010 trail shoes and Hydrapak. Love all of it and will write up more about it soon! Still need to figure out a better video camera on the run …
4. Snow!
Sure, it should be snowing, but after a week of temps in the 70’s, getting covered in snow comes as a bit of a surprise. Kids had a great time building 2 snowman and throwing snowballs at each other.
