Ross Family Bowling

Busy fun awesome week! Birthdays, BBQ with friends, some running, working out schedules, lots of coffee, margaritas, and great family time. Here are just 4 highlighted …

1. Birthday Celebration
Our first child was born on my birthday back in 2003. Here’s a photo of me on that day with a donut (can’t light candles in hospitals) and a smile:

Since then I have been happy to share my birthday with my son. This year the whole family kept busy the entire day:
– Donuts & presents for breakfast

Ended the day with Skype video chat and watching American Ninja Warrior. No plans or trying out for that show in 2012 … 2013?

    2. BBQ With Friends
    BBQ with friends and kids
Our favorite family came over with their 3 kids which meant we had 7 kids running around, inside, and over our house. So much fun and an awesome game of kickball ensued that reminded me of why I run long distance … not sprints!

    3. Running Record
Most miles in a month: 143 miles in May
Pretty excited about that! The new strategy focuses on time-on-feet versus number of miles. For me it has always been about how far and long I can go. Putting in the time will equate to miles, health, and clearer thinking.

    4. Field Day
The last day, and week, of school was always fun times. Very little expectations except to clean everything out and have some last minute fun. I was not ever good at Field Day, but always enjoyed getting out in the fresh air to run around. Kids had a great time and was fun to see them pull together in some of the events!

Going to keep getting time on my feet, relaxing with family, and seeing what is in store next. Keep smiling and running folks!
