All About the Music
1:22:00 – 8 miles
Kids wanted to go play at the gym and with their membership is 2 hours of child care. This is no ordinary child care gym. There is a 3 level maze, mini basketball court, computers, crafts, and music. Today there happened to also be a jumpy castle. Kids loved it!
Meanwhile, I decided I probably would run 5-6 miles and try out the running mix I have put together. Great music and a great pace got me to 8 miles. I was excited but at the same time not feeling it well as I didn’t tape up where needed.
Much of the thoughts in my head on the run were blank. I wanted to see if I could go into a “zone” and think about nothing. It was interesting in that I felt like I was meditating while I ran. It’s a great way to disconnect from life as I know it for a few moments at a time.
