Had quite a few thoughts on the run this morning. Granted, 2.5 hours is a long time in general, so I had time.

Watched the recap of the health care summit. It’s a bit annoying when the leader of the summit, President Obama, says lets have a discussion and come up with solutions to make this work. Then the Republicans do the same thing they’ve done for 3 months … they say let’s start over, start from scratch, remember that thing you said on the campaign 2 years ago.

Why do these Republicans live in the past? The majority of the country is irritated with the snail’s pace it takes to get something done in the government and I would hope people are taking note of why. Talk Talk Talk Talk. Shut up and decide something! Stop complaining and actually do something. I tell my 6 year old this. Yeah, you hear me, but you are not doing anything. It’s like the overweight people that sit on the couch watching The Biggest Loser while eating half a cake. DO SOMETHING! Leaders lead … not make excuses or do things to make themselves look better. I almost wonder if they take no action so they can’t be blamed for something … well, now they can be blamed for doing nothing.

Here is my quote to leave you with … I thought of it many times while running. We need leaders that are not lazy and ones that are willing to make the hard decisions or at least try to do something.

It’s easier to sit and complain and find fault then to come up with solutions.
