When to talk?

I ride the same bus, but at different times in the morning. I recognize many of the strangers faces, but not always on the same ride with them. This of course is me not able to get out of bed at the same time every morning … a goal for 2008.

On the way home though, I take the same bus everyday at the same time. I have become to talk with those that do the same on this bus. On one of my recent trips home, I noticed a girl upset on the bus. Based on what I overheard on her phone call (if you are going to talk on a phone on a bus it will be heard. sue me.), she was miserable at her job. I know plenty of recruiters (they each call me regularly), so I wanted to give her my business card and tell her to send me her resume. The thought occurred to me though, would you want a stranger to start talking to you while you are half in tears? Well, I waited until the next day and struck up a conversation and confirmed my assumptions. I gave her my business card and told her to send my resume.

Who knows, I may hirer her to work at 720x ... we create our own chance.
