Seamless Launch

In the late hours of Monday night, NASA sent Space Shuttle Endeavor towards the International Space Station.

Endeavor Launch

Yes, I stayed up and watched the launch. In fact, I watched the 2 hours leading up to the launch that included the motions, countdown sequence, interviews, and checks. There is still something fascinating to me about sending humans off the planet. Whether it be the ‘cool effect’ or the fact that it is brings together nations, it is something that we should take note of. This mission includes a Japanese-built section to the space station along with an astronaut from Japan. The mission will have 5 spacewalks by 4 different astronauts. No small feat when you start to look at the risks.
