Avoiding Mediocrity: Do You Dare to Be Different?

Avoiding Mediocrity: Do You Dare to Be Different?

Read an interesting article (click here to read it) about whether or not people are doing what they want or what they should be doing. It was interesting in that I have been having discussions with people over the past 2 weeks about the same topic.

This article touches on 5 questions:
1. Do you have a dream?
2. Are you doing what you want or what you should?
3. Do you worry more about being loved than being what you love?
4. Do you choose what is safe rather than what is right?
5. If you had only six months left to live, would you do what you are doing now?

These are great questions to sit back and think (blog or comment) about. I may take a couple of these questions and write another post about as overall, it is great way to stop what you are doing and look around. Why are you doing what you are doing? Is it what you want to be doing? If it’s not, why not change? Because it’s too hard?

It is as hard as you make it.

  1. I am so sick of being mediocre, however the blog above does not help me very much. I'm not exactly sure what is meant by it all. I guess that means I am below mediocre. I feel so dull all the time and everytime I think I have the power of change in my grasp something happens that pushes me back down. I don't know what to do anymore but just except the permanent.
