Unmanned Surveillance Drones Over Houston, Texas
Here is a video showing a test conducted in Houston, Texas that involved the police and Homeland Security. It was a test to see how an ummanned drone could be used for police enforcement.
This is cool and a little scary at the same time. In the days of people complaining about high speed car chases and criminals getting away, a device such as this could be used to safely track suspects without endangering civilians. They could also be used for catching speeding vehicles.
It is also interesting how they would not allow media at the launch and that because of this news station capturing it on video, the police department called a press conference to explain what was happening.
